JKM 2013 Layout
I created this layout for the Sketchbook 365 sketch challenge.
I've had the transparency for years and years so I decided to add it over the photograph and tags etc.
The title is quite simple... my initals and the year....
I inked the cardstock to add some more detail and interest. Washi tape is at the top of each tag (I have a lot of washi tape so I try to use some on each project).Love my Tim Holtz tiny attacher.... which is holding the transparency in place.
So happy that I've finally used this camera transparency!

These Boots.... Layout
I've found out that I like to see the progress of a layout. I've had the idea to take this photograph for a while and made myself take it yesterday. I got a new sunburst template so tried it out on this layout. Originally I just drew a brown line around the stencil and then I remembered that I had this transparency from Hambly. But using the whole sheet just looked too busy so I drew the stencil on the transparency and cut out the sunbursts.
I ripped some strips from some cloud patterned paper that I've had for a while, and added some Tim Holtz Ribbon Ruler with my tiny attacher. (I love my tiny attacher)!
I finished the layout with AC thickers and KaiserCraft stickers to spell out "The boots are made for walkin'". Wrote some simple journaling along the sunburst lines. I'm trying to make more of an effort to use the letter stickers and add more to my layouts to make them look really amazing. Is there anything else I could add?

#2 Butterflies
I am loving my new butterflies tattoo. I've got three little butterflies fluttering around on my arm. I didn't really think about the healing part though. I have to be really careful with how I can move my arm and being careful not to hit them!
Mom came with me to take photographs. We got lots of good shots! I started this layout yesterday. I knew I wanted pink mist and I ended up using some Studio Calico bits and pieces.
I love how this layout has turned out. I just need to think of a title and where to put some journaling.

Pink
Today was a nice pink painterly day. I'm actually out of pink paint right now. The black bits in the above photograph are the wooden pages of my Camera Album. I wanted to have black pages so my colour photographs will really pop out. Journalling will be on strips of white card.... I will show you when it's finished. (hopefully this year).
This photograph of the pink nail polish has been sitting on my desk for a few months and I finally got round to scrapping it today. I sprayed pink mist over the ampersand mask then used the inner from an empty roll of double sided tape as a circle stamp. Drew black lines around some of circles and the "&". Cut out a circle to used doubled up foam dots to cover a blank space in the photograph, and finished it off with simple glittered alphabet letters from American Crafts (which have been sitting around here for a while). I'm just leaving it to dry completely before putting it in the album.

Sketch Challenge
This layout is for the sketch challenge at Scrap365 and one at MerlyImpressions. I've had this patterned paper for a few years and never found a use for it. It always seemed too girly for me to use... but it doesn't actually seem too girly with these photographs.
I didn't really need much embellishment on here since the paper gave me some nice straight dotted lines. Some buttons, washi tape and a little sticker thing from Smash were all it seemed to need.
Layne is a smart boy! The car he's playing with has shaped blocks that you push through the windows but he puts them in through the boot of the car... which is what you do! Have you ever tried to shoved your shopping in the car through the window?? Or do you use the boot???

Sketch Challenge - Baby Layne
This layout is for the Scrap365 Mag challenge, and it's also for the first page in Layne's album. He's probably only a week old in these photographs.
I sprayed a lot of blue tattered angels mist over the blue cardstock and added an odd collection of papers. I'd tidied a little so I had found some more ribbon and papers to play with. Vintage tags by Tim Holtz. Patterned paper by KaiserCraft. Monsterville blurbs by Sei and some Stampin Up stamps.
Awww... I love this little guy!

Baby Page

I'm working on a general scrapbook we can look at when we're in New Zealand. I am doing a two page layout of each family members birthday. (one page when they were babies and one page of them now). I've just finished this one for my baby page.
I loved pink as a kid. These are the first set of pictures of me. I haven't done any journalling yet coz I'm not sure what it should be.
I might trim a small part from the edge so it fits in the page protector better. I'm okay with this layout. I don't love it (it will grow on me). I have some fuzzy rubons that I will add. And I have to work on the grown up page now.

16 November 2007

My entry for Scrap Naked's first challenge, and my first actual layout to do with me (the others have been holidays).
I used Bazzill Bling paper in Black and Pink.
Black ribbon
Scraps of Glitz Design Hot Mama paper.
I might add some hidden journaling near the tags.
XX
EDIT: I have figured out how to do the hidden journaling. I am going to add a scrap of the black bling paper and fold it over the ribbon with journaling on the inside.
"Scrap Naked - show the imperfections"
"I keep my secrets hidden from everyone!
Even myself."
