Ten Things......
(In our journaling class with the fabulous Ali Edwards, she mentioned a quick/easy was to document stuff - since then I've tried to remember to do these ....things about me..... mainly in my journal but I'm scrapped out right now so I thought I might as well do this as a post.)
.....about me this week.....
1) I am trying to scrap photographs of the redecorating of the bathroom.
2) I am listening to Agatha Chrisite's Murder on the Orient Express
3) I am home sick
4) I have to be better by Friday
5) I stuck my finger in the ink pad when I was trying to close my Close To My Heart ink
6) I've been working on a secret
7) I hope some Xmas presents arrive in time
8) I will try to tidy up this craft room again before the weekend
9) I've got a lot of scrapbooking done over the last couple days
10) I will be drinking a lot more diet coke and coffee this week.
Hopefully these will become a random regular type of post.

I've been a year behind in my scrapbooking since, well, 2010. Finally got caught up once I decided to stop worrying about what bits to use and to just do really simple quick pages to get these memories down!
An 8.5x11 layout to celebrate our Christmas. Random shots from December.
It SNOWED in Guernsey (this is really odd for us - it might snow in Feb and even then it will just be slushy - these were nice and crisp flakes).
The original idea for this was the title "Footsteps in the Snow". I think just some blue paper, buttons and ribbon work wonderfully. The Noel is a freebie from one of the Xmas craft magazines we've bought. I added a simple stamp in blue along the bottom - it's not straight and a little blurry - but that's okay).
Another snow day! I used the purple cardstock to compliment my Mom's purple coat. I cut icicles from this sheet by Little Yellow Bicycle and added my journaling in a white pen.
I tried to make the journaling look like snow flurries - just naturally falling down the page.
Can you believe that I am onto 2011 memories?
My Mom's birthday
The birth of my nephew
Redecorating our house
Smashing the bathroom apart and re doing everything
Moving into our home
Trying to find a place for everything..... and much much more!

11.11.11 Layout
On Friday 11th 2011 I took 11 photographs (I actually took more but just used 11 of the best) to remember this day.
I had already decided on using some papers and letter stickers from the Basic Grey's Basic White collection.
I went to the Doctor's in the morning (why there is a box of tissues above the journaling block) and was given the week off work so I could use my DSLR to take photos throughout the day and I added the time they were taken too.
I was going to have "11.11.11" as my title but the letter set only had two "1's".
I wasn't too worried about the photographs being slightly off size - I cut them to squares so I could use a grid design. It's sort of like "A Day in My Life"

Last Sunday
We had this quite little baby for a few hours. He has a nice thick new coat and is always full of smiles and contagious giggles.
Need juice.... need juice....
And falls asleep. He gave me lots of time to try out my new camera.
Waking up, and Aunti Jeni is waiting to help him up.
Uncle Aidy came around for a while. Baby Layne was sitting on his lap, I left the room for about 5 seconds to get a tissue for the dribble and he starts crying!!! We did have a few tears but he is teething.
So happy crawling all over grandma and getting special 'Grandson' hugs from her.
In 2 months he turns the whole big age of ONE year old.
